Some Kind of Wonderful
I will be using this in my Wedding Album, once I dig it out from the moving boxes. Yes, I still have boxes to unpack.
I used:
Pearl Stickles as the center of the flowers.
Inked the edges of the Tags with CTMH VIneyard Berry Ink.
Sizzix's Cherry Blossom die cut strip
Cuttlebug
Ivory Ribbon from my stash of left overs.
Found the paper in my stash, sorry, don't remember where it is from.

Hair Bows: Tie Dye Themed
My Daughter's High School Dance Team is heading to camp on Sunday.
And being Team Mom, I get to make the Team Camp Goodie Bags!! And fill them with fun little items.
I wanted to make a fun and unique bow, something none of the other Teams at Camp will have.
One day during the week, is Spirit Day.
The girls choose to wear tie dye, t-shirts and solid shorts.
Seniors are blue, Juniors are purple, Sophmores are orange and the Freshmen will be wearing yellow.
They are the University Bulldaogs, and I found this cute material with rainbow colored paw prints.
I then folded ten 4x4 squares into orgami petals, strang them on a piece of thread, then tied them into a circle. Which was 4 inches in diameter when completed.
Then covered a button with tone on tone material to match the girl's shorts. And sewed it into the center.
There are no Seniors on their team, but the Cheer Squad will want some too. So I know I will be making another 24, before school starts in August.

Imaginisce Roly Flowers
Imaginisce has come out with these wonderful kits to created quilled paper or fabric flowers. I had only 15 mins to craft something before heading to work this afternoon, so I tried my hand at creating a roly flower.
There is a total of 6 pieces of double sided paper, with 3 prescored flowers. There is 6 different designs of flowers. I just grabbed the top sheet and quickly punched out all three flowers. it took a total of 5 mins to create one flower. Mostly glue drying time.
I think this is a skill that takes practice.
I also received the Cricut Flower Shoppe Project Cartridge, which will allow me to cut additional paper strips to create more flowers.
SO more tomorrow, off to work for me.

A Prayer for our Armed Forces and their Families
A Nation at Peace, A Nation at War
The enemy stands ever present at our door
Our guard is up, The fight is right
We shall defend her with our lives both day and night
We live with pride, And not with fears
Our liberties bought with blood, sweat, and tears
As Independence Day is before us and we are enjoying the activities of the July 4th weekend, let us not forget those who have fought to establish and sustain our mighty land of Freedom and American way of life. May we hold our heroes in our thoughts and prayers throughout this weekend, as we remember the words of honor and pledge they give in their Code of Conduct:
Code of Conduct
1) I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America
May we hold in our thoughts and prayers throughout this weekend all those who have committed to stand by our heroes, as we remember their words of honor and pledge given in the Code of Support.
Code of Support
1) I am an American. I know that the men and women in our Armed Forces are prepared to give their lives to defend my country, my way of life and the blessings of liberty throughout the world. I am committed to their perpetual recognition, appreciation and support.
2) As they have sworn to defend me and protect our country, so will I pledge to support them in every way that I can, and to avoid any action that would increase their risk. I will further do my part to ensure that they are never sent into harm’s way without all of the necessary resources to protect them and to fulfill their mission.
3) If they become prisoners of war, are missing in action, are wounded, or lose their lives, I will keep faith with them and their loved ones. I will not rest until we find them, heal them, and return them to their comrades, their loved ones and their nation.
4) For our military veterans, I pledge unfailing recognition and appreciation for their contributions to our national defense and our welfare. I will not forget my nation’s responsibility to provide for their continued well-being, and meaningful compensation for their sacrifice.
5) I understand that our service men and women do not make national policy, but are sworn to obey their civilian leadership and defend the constitution. I will respect their faithful service to the nation and always give them my unqualified support.
6) I will never forget that our service men and women are fighting for my freedom and are dedicated to the principles which make our country free. I will share the responsibility for preserving that freedom with those who proudly wear the uniform of the United States of America.
May we hold our sisters in the Blue Star Mothers of America in our thoughts and prayers throughout this weekend, as we remember the words of honor and pledge we give in our Loyalty Oath:
Loyalty Oath
1) I do solemnly swear that I am not a Communist, Fascist, or Terrorist. I do not advocate nor am I a member of any organization that advocates the overthrow of the government of the United States by force or violence or other unconstitutional means or seeks by force or violence to deny any person their rights under the Constitution of the United States.
2) I do further swear that I will not so advocate nor will I become a member of such an organization during the period I am a member of the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same that I sign this oath freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, so help me God.
And may we hold our Nation itself in our thoughts and prayers throughout this weekend, remembering our words of honor and pledge given in our Pledge of Allegiance to The Flag of the United States of America:
Pledge of Allegiance
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Have a very happy, peaceful, and safe 4th of July weekend and Independence Day.
